Aware of changes in society and in the musical world, the Competition Committee has chosen to give the CIML a new direction, marked by openness and innovation. Thus, a new format of the competition, open to all instruments and to both soloists and ensembles, will be launched in May 2027. Pending this new edition, the association will organize a gala concert on Friday, June 19, 2026, to announce the transformation of the competition to the public; during this exceptional evening, baritone Benjamin Appl, pianist Jorge Viladoms, cellist Lionel Cottet, as well as the Ensemble Astera, will be invited to perform.
